Members of European Georgia Met the NATO PA President
Representatives of the parliamentary factions: "European Georgia", "European Georgia - Movement for Freedom" and "European Georgia - Regions" met with the NATO PA President, Madeleine Moon.
At the meeting the sides discussed the situation in the occupied territories and the facts of human rights violations. Discussions also focused on Georgia's integration into NATO and its prospects.
"The main message of European Georgia at such meetings is always to raise the issue of occupation of our territories and the return of refugees to the international agenda. When the EU and the US expand sanctions on Russia, it is important to reflect on the issues of crossing the occupation line and annexation in general. It is also important to include the facts of human rights violations in the occupied territories and the issues of the "Tatunashvili-Otkhozoria List" in the sanctions package”, - the faction member Giorgi Kandelaki commented after the meeting.
The meeting with Madeleine Moon was attended by the Deputy Chairman, Sergi Kapanadze and other members of the Parliament: Irakli Abesadze and Giorgi Kandelaki.
