The meetings of Rati Ionatamashvili and Giorgi Tugushi in the Parliament of Norway
MPs, Rati Ionatamashvili and Giorgi Tugushi serve the official visit to Norway and hold the meetings in Norwegian Parliament.
At the meeting with their Norwegian colleagues, they spoke about enhancement of cooperation between the Friendship Groups and expressed the will for opening of the Norwegian Embassy in Georgia which now operates through Baku regional office.
The parties underlined importance of support of Norway within NB8 and the role of Norwegian Parliament in this process. Georgian MPs emphasized the initiative of Norway to enlist Georgia into the priority countries within Development Cooperation of 2015-2020.
The parties discussed the pre-electoral processes in Georgia and gave the positive assessment to the progress of Georgia in terms of human rights, media pluralism and enhancement of democratic institutions.
The parties touched upon territorial integrity of Georgia and de-occupation policy, as well as gross violation of human rights on the occupied territories.
