As the Speaker stated, Georgia attaches high importance to the close and productive cooperation with the CoE. He expressed his gratitude to the CoE for the facilitation of the democratic reforms in Georgia and hailed the significant support provided by the Secretary-General to Georgia within the presidency of the Committee of Ministers.
The Speaker stressed the constructive dialogue with Venice Commission concerning the approximation standards and expressed the commitment for further cooperation with the Commission.
The parties discussed the grave situation on the occupied territories and the importance of the peaceful resolution of the conflict.
The parties hoped that the joint efforts will facilitate long-term peace and stability in Georgia and the region.
