The meeting of Avtandil Enukidze with the Ambassador of Austria

The Vice-Speaker, “European Socialists” MP Avtandil Enukidze held the introductory meeting with the Ambassador of Austria, H.E. Thomas Mühlmann to discuss the political processes in the country and the dialogue between the Government and opposition mediated by the Special Representative of the President of the European Council.

“We discussed the initiation of the Law on Amnesty on the basis of the agreement between the parties concerning the cases of rallies of June 19-21, 2019. Our party, “European Socialists”, signed the document composed by the CoE President and agree with the amnesty. This process shall be accomplished in a prompt manner and the opposition parties shall enter the Parliament”, - A. Enukidze stated.

The parties underlined the special role of the President of the European Council, Charles Michel in the mediation process and overviewed the situation on the occupied territories of Georgia.

“The Ambassador expressed his intact support to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia and stressed the importance of the peacekeeping policy in the conflict resolution process”, - A. Enukidze noted.

The sitting was attended by the non-Faction MP from the “European Socialists”, Gela Mikadze.
