The Chair of the Sector Economy and Economic Policy Committee, David Songulashvili held the meeting with the Ambassador of Japan, H.E. Akira Imamura to discuss the trade-economic cooperation.

The parties dwelt on the economic projects to facilitate the enhancement of the economic relations, development of the small and average business in Georgia, implementation of infrastructural projects and more Japanese business at the Georgian market.

D. Songulashvili introduced the Committee activity and priorities noting that Japan is a friend and partner country for Georgia and highly contributes to the economy of our country.

The parties discussed countering the pandemic and timely vaccination, including the joint efforts and coordination in this process.

The Ambassador reaffirmed the engagement and support of Japan in these directions.
