The Education, Science and Culture Committee discussed the bill on General Education envisaging the mandatory medical rooms for all schools countrywide to ensure the due healthcare of the children, along with the mental aid room and the canteen.
According to the Chair, Genadi Margvelashvili, the medical rooms acquire particular importance during the pandemic.
“The state shall undertake to ensure the due operation of medical rooms in all schools according to the modern standards. Besides, this binding rule applies to private schools as well. In the education system reform context, it is expedient at the stage of the realization of the new school model to equip all schools with the medical rooms composed with the qualified medical personnel”, - he noted.
Also, the standard of the school medical personnel and the medical room operation regulations shall be developed and approved.

The Committee approved the bill.
