Giorgi Khelashvili to chair the Research Center of the Parliament

The LEPL Research Center is to be established in the Parliament in view of efficiency of the legislative process and facilitation to the analytical activity.

Today, the Parliament hosted the presentation of the future development concept of the Center introduced by the Director of the Center appointed by the Supervisory Council, Giorgi Khelashvili.

He introduced the mission, tasks and the key principles of activity of the Center to the society, MPs and the academic circle.

According to him, the Center is a very important initiative as its mission will allow the Parliament qualitatively improving the activity based on the research and analysis.

“The Center aims at provision of the Parliament with timely, impartial, confidential and authentic information about the important events and processes in the country in view of improvement of the legislative process and the Parliamentary activity”.

He spoke about the strategy, new structure, activity types, research directions and priorities of the Center and introduced the information about the partners and cooperation.
