The Deputy Chair of Education, Science and Culture Committee, Guguli Magradze participated in Winners Ceremony of Green Award 2019.
The program "Environmental Education in Preschools" is implemented by the LEPL Environmental Information and Education Center. Since 2015, the Environmental Component has been added to the Preparedness Standard for Schools.
Since 2016, trainings for preschool pedagogues and methodists throughout Georgia have been implemented to introduce the textbook, and in all parts of Georgia up to 2,000 preschool specialists and methodists have been trained in 1600 kindergartens.
In view to share the results achieved by the LEPL Environmental Information and Education Center under the Ministry of Environment in preschool environmental education and to increase the motivation of educators and methodists, in 2019, the competition was held throughout Georgia and involved 120 pedagogues and methodists who practice the "Preschool Environmental Education" textbook and actively pursue the environmental activities.
Participants were evaluated at the first stage of the competition based on the assessment of applications received from all over the country.
