The Parliament has selected the auditor for the accounting audit of the National Bank for 2020-2021.
The company KPMG was assigned for the external audit. The Competition Commission, presided by the Chair of the Budget and Finance Committee, Irakli Kovzanadze, made a choice amongst three international audit companies and revealed KPMG as the winner for its technical and financial offers.
Other participants of the competition were the members of so-called G4: Ernst&Young, and Deloitte Touche-Tohmatsu.
“The winner, KPMG will be submitted to the plenary session for ratification”, - I. Kovzanadze noted.
The sealed envelopes – the technical offers by the competitors have been officially open yesterday in presence of the representatives of the audit companies at the Commission sitting, and the financial offers were open today.
