The Chair of the Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Committee, Maia Bitadze held the meeting with the representative of the Development Section of the Czech Embassy, Jan Černík to discuss the further prospects of cooperation in the environmental sphere between the two countries.

According to M. Bitadze, the outcomes of this meeting are very important: “We dwelt on the fulfillment of the Association Agreement, those important bills to be adopted within four upcoming years concerning the water resources, industrial emission control and circular economy. We touched upon our cooperation prospects and outlined certain directions, including environmental regulation in urban areas”, - she stated.

The meeting was attended by the First Deputy Chair, Khatia Tsilosani.
