The Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee, Sophio Katsarava met with the Ambassador of Australia to Georgia, Marc Innes-Brown.
The meeting focused on bilateral relations between the two countries and the prospects for future cooperation, especially on the parliamentary level.
Sophio Katsarava informed the Ambassador about the grave situation in the occupied territories of Georgia and the gross violation of human rights stressing on peacekeeping policy as the only means for resolving the conflict.
The Chair of the Committee highlighted the accomplishments on the way to EU and NATO, as well as the implemented reforms in the country and emphasized the significance of Georgia’s integration into EU and NATO.
“I have held the meeting with the Ambassador of Australia during which we concentrated on cooperation between the two countries and spoke about the future prospects in this regard. The Ambassador reaffirmed his unwavering support to Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity”, - Sophio Katsarava commented.
