The Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee, Nikoloz Samkharadze held the Charge d’Affaires of Spain to Georgia, Jorge Nicolas Lucini Serrano de Haro.

The parties discussed the friendly relations between the countries and enhancement of cooperation at the executive and legislative levels, touching upon the foreign political priorities of Georgia, EU and NATO integration process and respective reforms.

The parties stressed the grave situation in the occupied territories of Georgia – Abkhazia and Tskhinvali region and importance of de-occupation.

N. Samkharadze dwelt on the Parliamentary agenda, including the electoral and judicial reforms.

The parties discussed the challenges in the region and security issues.
