The meeting of Nikoloz Samkharadze with the Ambassador of Slovakia

The Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee, Nikoloz Samkharadze held the meeting with the Ambassador of Slovakia, H.E. Pavel Vizdal to discuss the friendly relations.

N. Samkharadze overviewed the priorities and the agenda of the Parliament and stressed the foreign political course of the country and the EU and NATO integration.

The Ambassador expressed his intact support for the EU and NATO aspirations of Georgia. The parties touched upon the foreign political priorities of Georgia. N. Samkharadze emphasized the Parliamentary resolution providing that Slovakia is a special partner to Georgia.

As the Ambassador stated, Georgia is a priority country for Slovakia as well and hence, Slovakia intends to allocate higher amounts to fund the educational, economic, humanitarian and other projects in Georgia.

The parties touched upon the security of the South Caucasus region and expressed their concern about the current situation. They dwelt on the Parliamentary cooperation, cooperation between the Committees and noted the importance of the exchange visits.

The meeting was attended by the First Deputy Chair, Giorgi Khelashvili.
