“Today, MEPs consider Georgia as European state and reaffirm perspective of Georgia for EU membership. This PAC sitting is particularly important as it is the resuming meeting about the recent reforms in Georgia on EU integration path. I am glad to hear our partner speaking about the progress of Georgia including in trade, institutional cooperation, visa liberalization and democratic reforming . Naturally, we discussed the daily threats by Russia on occupied territories and noted that the Russian citizens depriving lives from Georgian citizens still come unpunished. Our partners give the strictest assessment to this issue”, - N. Goguadze noted.
The parties also discussed Russian disinformation and propaganda.
“It is the challenge as for Georgia so for EU member states and we all agree that it requires the effective national policy through active cooperation in the international format. EU will keep and enhance our support in this direction”.
