The Chair of the Agrarian Issues Committee, member of the Gender Equality Standing Council Nino Tsilosani met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Georgia, H.E. Maaike van Koldam to discuss the further deepening of the cooperation ties between the two countries and dwell on the prospects of future cooperation.

Tabling issues of bilateral cooperation, the main focus fell on agrarian and gender equality issues.

"The meeting was extremely interesting as both agrarian and gender equality issues are the areas of active cooperation for the Ambassador and the Embassy. They carry out specific projects through various organizations in the agricultural sector, including food safety, as well as encouraging dairy production and other issues. It is also important that they actively support our legislation and its enforcement for fighting violence against women. Therefore, we, both the Agrarian Issues Committee and the Gender Equality Council, strive to work closely with the Embassy and the Ambassador in particular”, - N. Tsilosani remarked after the meeting.

The sides also scheduled specific activities within the framework of bilateral cooperation, both for the development of the agricultural sector and fighting violence against women.
