The Chair of the Education and Science Committee, Shalva Papuashvili, as part of his visit to Germany, met with the Chair of the Education Committee of the German Bundestag, Ernst Dieter Rossmann to discuss the existing friendly and partnership relations between the two countries and the format of future cooperation.

In this context, the parties underlined the importance of close cooperation in the field of education and science.

Sh. Papuashvili thanked his German counterpart for the support that Germany is providing to the development of the vocational education system in Georgia.

The focus fell on the global pandemic, its impact on the education system, and the significance of sharing experiences in overcoming outcomes.

“The Education and Science Committee is launching a thematic inquiry on the impact of the pandemic on access to and quality of general education. In this regard, it was interesting to receive information about their experience from a German colleague”, - Sh. Papuashvili remarked.
