The Thematic Inquiry Group on Promoting Youth Employment held verbal hearings on the views of representatives of various organizations.

The thematic inquiry team will study the proposals elaborated by the interested parties in the working process and will apply them to the relevant agencies with appropriate recommendations.

"This is an important issue in terms of self-realization of our youth. Employment is the most important factor for them and the government has a responsibility to provide as much support as possible. We started the thematic inquiry on this issue yesterday. There was a lot of interest from organizations who approached us with their own opinions. This is a topic that involves large-scale issues and is thus quite painful”, - Mikheil Kavelashvili, Chairman of the Committee, stated.

Representatives of the Youth Agency, EU Technical Assistance Project, Friedrich Ebert Foundation, Red Cross, Employment Agency of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, and the Regional Youth Center were heard at the verbal hearing.

The thematic inquiry is backed by the EU, UNDP, and the WFD.
