The Chair of the Committee, Mikheil Kavelashvili and the Committee members held the meeting with the Secretary General of the Basketball Club “Baskonia” and the Football Team “Alavés”, Jesus Vazquez.

The parties discussed the development of the strategic document on the development of sports infrastructure.

As noted, years ago, when J. Vazquez was the Vice-Mayor of the city of Vitoria, the sports infrastructure and sports activity of the population in the city has significantly increased highly contributed by the then Vice-Mayor.

The parties noted that the Spanish company, ordered by the Ministry, has developed the sports infrastructure development strategy with the active participation of J. Vazquez.

At the current stage, the Ministry starts the development of the sports strategy document and the Committee would like the Spanish specialist and his team to be engaged in this process.

The parties stressed the importance of further cooperation and agreed on active communication.

The meeting was attended by the Majority MPs.
