The Chair of the EU Integration Committee, Tamar Khulordava and the MP Otar Kakhidze are participating in the high–level ministerial seminar held in Swedish Parliament (Riksdag) on the 10th anniversary of the Eastern Partnership - A New Political Vision for the EaP.
The Seminar aims to determine the future policy of EaP and define the importance of involvement of Parliaments and MPs in this process.
At the opening ceremony, the Speaker of the Swedish Parliament, Andreas Norlén emphasized the good practice of cooperation between the Parliaments of Riksdag and partner countries.
In her speech, the Chair of the EU Integration Committee highlighted the achievements and discussed the development vision of Georgia elaborated within the 10 years of cooperation.
Particular emphasis was put on the need to align with the expectations of future policy objectives, and more importantly with the expectations of Associated Countries.
At the end of the day, meetings were held with representatives of civil society and scholars at the Swedish Institute for International Affairs who introduced their views on the future of the Eastern Partnership.
