The Deputy Chair of the Sports and Youth Issues Committee, Tamar Taliashvili held the meeting with the Chair of IPCG Sakpatenti, Mindia Davitadze and his Deputy, Nino Chikovani to discuss the relevancy of intellectual property protection.
The parties underlined the importance of legal harmonization in view of fulfillment of the EUAA commitments.
According to T. Taliashvili, protection of intellectual property rights for the economic and cultural development of the country in creative and innovative spheres is paramount. It is particularly relevant in the youth policy planning process. Awareness of the youth will create new opportunities for them as the youth is the most active users of the new technologies and copyrights on the internet. They carry the greatest potential to create innovative production, is it design, inventions, art or literature. Correspondingly, we need to do our best to develop projects oriented to the youth in this sphere.
The parties agreed on cooperation priorities and further relations.
