On April 26, the Co-Chairs of the PAC, the Chair of the EU Integration Committee, Tamar Khulordava and the MEP, Sajjad Karim will hold the 6th sitting to discuss EU-Georgia relations and to hear the executive authorities and EU representatives.
The partners will consider the EUAA and DCFTA implementation, ongoing democratic reforming in Georgia and the Constitutional changes. The parties will discuss the current state in judicial sphere, establishment of the open government principles in the Parliament and economic development of the country.
The State Minister for Reconciliation, Ketevan Tsikhelashvili will report on the situation on the occupied territories and peace-keeping policy of Georgian Government and the Public Defender, Nino Lomjaria will speak about the human rights state in Georgia. The Committee will pass the statement and the recommendations.
The Committee consists of Georgian MPs and MEPs. It is one of the institutional frameworks under the EUAA for EU-Georgia cooperation along with the Association Council at the executive authority and the Association Committees. Pursuant to the Book VII, Chapter I, Article 410 of the EUAA, the PAC facilitates to development of the Parliamentary diplomacy and enhancement of the relations between the European and Georgian Parliaments.
