The Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee, Sofio Katsarava participates in the 14th international conference “Georgia’s European Way – Ensuring Regional Stability”.
Today, she held the bilateral meetings with the legislative and executive authorities of EaP and EU member states. The meetings were held with the Deputy European Relations Minister of Albania, Eralda Çani, Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister of Czech Republic, Jakub Dürr, the Ambassador of Croatia, H.E. Velimir Starčević, Director of European Foreign Actions Service to Russia, EaP, Middle Asia and OSCE, Deputy Director to Europe and Middle Asia; as well as with the Head of Strategic Communications Department of EU Foreign Relations Office.
The parties discussed bilateral relations, challenges Georgia encounters, international support and situation on the occupied territories, as well as the Constitutional and judicial reforms and EU and NATO integration of Georgia. The parties underlined EaP Summit importance in EU integration terms for Georgia.
Today, S. Katsarava along whit the Speaker, Irakli Kobakhidze participated in the meetings with MEPs. “The conference is very important and a good opportunity to discuss the number of issues and challenges with our partners and colleagues, such are EU integration of Georgia, our agenda in this context, reforming in Georgia, EUAA implementation, security in the region, human rights state on the occupied territories and annexation by Russia”, - she stated.
The conference is participated by the legislative and executive authorities of Georgia, EU and EaP member states, diplomatic corps, civil society, academic circles, media and business sector.
The conference is organized by the Office of the State Minister for EU and NATO Integration.
