The Faction “Georgian Dream – Industrials” initiated the Conference dedicated to the Independence Day of Georgia held in the National Library of the Parliament.
The Students Parliament members introduced their reports on independence aspects, state of Georgian society at the beginning of the democratic Republic, history of Georgian Parliament, economic state of the democratic Republic, military policy of the then era and the conflicts, as well as the political mistakes of the Government of the democratic Republic of Georgia and the reasons for losing independence.
The Chair of the Faction “Georgian Dream – Industrials”, Simon Nozadze welcomed the attendees and stated that the Conference aims at analysis of the brief but complicated part of our independence, overview of the 3-year independence etc.
“We strive to inform our modern generation so oriented to the modern, western and progressive values about the history of our country and to let them make due conclusions. The mistakes Georgia has made during 3.500 years shall not be repeated. The young generations shall know about the paradigms of history to use them as the lessons”.
The Conference was participated by the Chair of the Defense and Security Committee Irakli Sesiashvili, history scientists, and professors: Svimon Maskharashvili, Manana Shekiladze and Tatia Dolidze.
