On September 13-14, the Gender Equality Council held the workshop for the Parliamentary media presided by the GEC Chair, Tamar Chugoshvili.

She dwelt on political participation of women, economic empowerment of women, improvement of legislative process in gender context, violence against women and domestic violence, ratification of Istanbul Convention and respective progress by Georgia.

The GEC member, Nino Tsilosani overviewed GEC priorities for 2019 on economic empowerment of women. The media obtained the comprehensive information about GEC activity, action plan for 2018-2019 and the scheduled events and asked the questions.
