The Commission held the 7th sitting and considered two recommendations introduced by the Chair, Sergi Kapanadze.

According to the first recommendation, the Commission based on the explanations provided by the MIA and Prosecutor’s office officials – Kakhaber Siradze and Zviad Pkhakadze and pursuant to the Article 66 of the Rules of Procedure, issues the recommendation to MIA for immediate commencement of the investigation on stabbing of the citizen G.M; and for undertaking respective operative measures and investigations to identify the offender.

The second recommendation has been formulated as follows: the Commission based on the case material, as well as the explanations provided by the MIA and Prosecutor’s office officials – Kakhaber Siradze and Zviad Pkhakadze and pursuant to the Article 66 of the Rules of Procedure, issues the recommendation to the Prosecutor’s Office for commencement of prosecution towards the citizen M.K. for co-participation in deliberate murder of the juvenile David Saralidze pursuant to the sub-paragraphs “b” and “e” of the part 2, Article 109 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.

The legal arguments to the recommendations were introduced by the Commission Secretary, Otar Kakhidze and answered the questions.

The Commission members from the Minority and the Majority expressed their positions. The Commission voted and adopted the recommendations. The first recommendation was adopted with 10 votes against 1 and 4 abstained; the second recommendation was adopted with 8 votes against 6 and 1 abstained.

The Commission heard the explanations of the officials.

The first to interrogate was the witness Zviad Kuprava. He introduced the information available to him on the murder of December 1 and spoke about the participants, factual circumstances and other issues.

The Commission heard the official explanations of the Head of Tbilisi Police Department, Shalva Bedoidze, Police Detective, Ioseb Sigua and Police Assistant Investigator, Irakli Pipia. They answered the questions and provided necessary information.

The interrogation will be resumed tomorrow at 15h00. The Commission approved conclusion of the contract between the Parliament and the Public Healthcare Center envisaging the Center to assist in interrogation of the juveniles. Thus, the Commission is to address to the Secretary General and the Board of the Treasurers.
