The Chair of the Health Care and Social Issues Committee, Akaki Zoidze held the farewell meeting with the Head of WHO Georgia Office, Marijan Ivanusa.
The parties discussed the WHO activity in Georgia and assessed cooperation as productive. A. Zoidze delivered the Letter of Gratitude by the Speaker, Irakli Kobakhidze to M. Ivanusa and expressed his gratitude on behalf of the Committee.
“WHO is the key partner for our Committee in reforming in health care sphere. For years, the organization is rendering the greatest aid to the Georgian Government and the Georgian people. M. Ivanusa has significantly assisted us in development of the law on tobacco control and in adoption and enforcement of the law. WHO and its experts take active part in healthcare reforms as in financial part so in e-prescriptions and drug quality”, - he stated.
The meeting was attended by the Head-to-be of WHO Georgia Office, Silviu Domente.
