The meeting of Gubaz Sanikidze and Shalva Kiknavelidze with MPs of Iranian Parliament

G. Sanikidze and Sh. Kiknavelidze met with the Chair and Members of National Support and Relevant Policy Implementation Monitoring Ad Hoc Commission of Iranian Parliament. After successful accomplishment of Vienna treaty, Georgian-Iranian relations have activated. The parties spoke about enhancement of relations and cooperation in energy, economics, tourism, education and healthcare. The guests asked about economic potential of Georgia.

According to G. Sanikidze, “we spoke about mega-projects such are energy transmission through our ports. The guests expressed their will to receive irrigation water from Georgia as they consider that Georgia has a very attractive environ for investments. We spoke about economic projects which are of high perspective for us. The meeting was very interesting for both parties”.

As Sh. Kiknavelidze stated, “this is the visit of the Parliamentary group, interested in economic relations, economic potential, about the spheres for business simplification and they plan visits with the representatives of other spheres as well”. The visit of Georgia-Iran Friendship Group to Iran is scheduled in the nearest future.
