The Chair of the Sector Economy and Economic Policy Committee, Roman Kakulia met with the EU Ambassador, Carl Hartzell to discuss the economic development model scheduled by the Committee to develop with wide civic engagement, namely – the wide and comprehensive economic policy document for 2030 to be developed with engagement of the state institutions and opposition parties specialized on economy and cherishing different opinion about economic development of the country.
According to R. Kakulia, no successful economic policy can be achieved without civic consensus.
“We intend to start the wide dialogue to hear the different opinion about economic development and we hope for EU support in development of this document by means of the European expert opinion”, - he noted.
The Ambassador expressed commitment for logistic and theoretical engagement in the process by means of the qualified expert. The parties agreed on certain steps.
The meeting was attended by the EU Office Project Manager, Vincent Rey.
