The Vice Speaker, Sergi Kapanadze held the meeting with MEPs visiting Batumi to attend the 14th international conference “Georgia’s European Way”.
MEPs, Kati Piri, Eduard Kukan, Rebecca Harms, Arne Lietz and the Co-Chair of EU-Georgia Friendship Group, Clare Moody asked about recent developments in Georgia. The parties touched upon the Constitutional reform, opinions by Minority and threats and challenges from Russian Federation.
“We discussed ongoing political processes, Constitutional reforms in Georgia. The Minority introduced own opinions about the consensus about the Constitutional reform. We discussed the ways to address the political deadlock and touched upon occupation by Russia, movement of administrative borders and the challenges Russia creates to statehood of Georgia”, - S. Kapanadze stated.
The meeting was attended by Giorgi Kandelaki.
