The First Vice Speaker, Sergi Kapanadze holds the meetings in Batumi within the 14th international conference “Georgia’s European Way”.
Today, he met with the German MPs, Heinz-Joachim Barchmann and Christian Petry, as well as with the Head of the South Caucasus and Middle Asia Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ambassador of Georgia, H.E. Heike Peitsch.
The meeting was as well attended by the Minority MP, Giorgi Kandelaki. The parties discussed the occupation territories, threats from Russia and the steps to be made in this direction by the Georgian Government and European partners. “We discussed threats from Russian Federation, occupation and the steps made by Russia on the occupied territories. We expressed our opinions about further actions by Georgian Government and European partners, including from Germany. Besides, we touched upon ongoing processes in Georgia, Constitutional reform and democratic developments”, - S. Kapanadze stated.
The meetings are as well scheduled with the EU and EaP member states’ legislative and executive authorities.
