The Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee, Sophio Katsarava held the meeting with the Delegation of Moldova visiting Georgia to study the human rights mechanisms.

S. Katsarava introduced the information about the human rights importance, priority nature thereof and the role of the Parliament.

“Consolidation of democracy is the primary point of the Governmental agenda within which Georgia has demonstrated significant progress in human rights protection”, - she noted.

She touched upon the political decisions envisaging establishment of the high human rights protection standard.

“The progress of the country which is recognized by the international partners has been achieved through coordinated cooperation between the agencies and the active role of the Parliament. We are committed to cooperate with the Government of Moldova and exchange experience”, - S. Katsarava stated.
