The Chair of the EU Integration Committee, Tamar Khulordava held the introductory meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador of Czech Republic, H.E. Petr Mikyska.
The parties discussed bonds between the countries and future cooperation prospects, as well as EU integration of Georgia fully backed by the Czech Republic.
“We discussed the role of the Parliament, the Committee activity, importance of Czech experience in EU integration and stressed better realization of the deep and comprehensive free trade area as a result of relations with the EU”, - T. Khulordava noted.
The parties touched upon Georgia-Czech economic cooperation.
“There are several Czech companies operating in Georgia but our will is to ensure higher economic cooperation and attract more investments. As the Ambassador underlined, Georgia offers effective legal environment and conditions. He is inspired to ensure active and close cooperation between the countries. We outlined certain directions for our future cooperation”, - she stated.
The meeting was attended by the First Deputy Chair, Irine Pruidze.
