The Chair of the EU Integration Committee, Tamar Khulordava met with the Deputy Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania, Sokol Dedja.
The parties exchanged EU integration experience. T. Khulordava introduced the information about the EU integration processes and the reforms in Georgia.
“Georgia and Albania share common European aspirations. Experience of Albania as of EU candidate state will significantly facilitate Georgia in EU integration process”, - she noted.
The parties discussed importance of EU financial aid, human resources enhancement in public service and noted that EU shall make the prompt responsive steps to prevent conversion of the greatest expectations of the population into the disappointment.
S. Dedja spoke about the period from application to EU membership by Albania up-today and stressed importance of the Constitutional reform and judicial system change, anti-corruption reform and Albania’s legislative approximation to EU.
He introduced the activity of Albanian Parliament in regards with EU integration and spoke about the attitude of Albanian society to EU membership. According to him, every structure of the country is engaged in EU integration process.
The National EU Integration Council is also very productive in cooperation with the executive and legislative authorities, society and other parties concerned.
The parties exchanged the experience and agreed on future cooperation.
