The Chair of the EU Integration Committee, Tamar Khulordava met with the interns to introduce the main directions of the Committee activity.
“The major part of our activity envisages oversight of reforming in the country and improvement of various living standards – is it environmental protection, economy, energy, social or other spheres”, - she stated.
Speaking about the foreign policy, she touched upon the EU membership prospects and stressed the respective reforms, progress so far and the benefits of EU approximation for the citizens of the country.
“Our Committee shall adhere to the objectives outlined for the country as it does not serve only for gaining of the positive attitude of the EU. The social orientation, protection of rights of the citizens, independent institutions – all these aspects are first of all necessary for the country and the citizens”, - T. Khulordava commented.
After the meeting, Mme. Khulordava addressed the interns: “Internship program will trigger you to achieve success in various directions and find the sphere you are interested in”.
