The Deputy Chairman, Mr. Zviad Dzidziguri, the Chair of the Faction “Georgian Dream-Conservatives”, Mr. Giga Bukia, the First Deputy Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee, Ms. Nino Goguadze and the First Deputy Chair of the Budget and Finance Committee, Mr. Paata Kvizhinadze held the meeting with the Member of the Governing Board of the Westminster Foundation for Democracy, the Member of the UK House of Commons, Sir Jeffrey Donaldson and the Head of the Multi Party Office, Ms. Adele Poskitt.
The parties discussed active cooperation between the Westminster Foundation and Georgian Parliament, including in development of human rights strategy and human rights Governmental action plan, as well as enhancement of the international relations role of Georgian Parliament.
The parties touched upon new perspectives of future cooperation and the future projects by the WFD to support intra-party development of the Conservative Party. “Today, the WFD representative, Sir Donaldson expressed his position that he, as the lobbyist of Conservative directions, is committed to actively cooperation with the Faction of the Conservative Party of Georgia. I believe, it will facilitate to further improvement of the Faction activity”, - Z. Dzidziguri stated.
“This relation started one year ago and has a very interesting continuation. Internal structural development of the Party and intra-structural communication, communication with the electors and strategies on various issues as within so beyond the country are the issues we can cooperate with the WFD”, - N. Goguadze stated.
The parties discussed cooperation issues and agreed to develop the cooperation strategy about the type of cooperation of the WFD with the Faction of the Conservative Party.
The WFD representatives will also meet with the National Committee members of the Conservative Party, the Faction “Georgian Dream-Conservatives” of the City Assembly, the Youth and Women Organization Chairs of the Party.
