The Commission members met with the Public Defender Office and NGOs.

According to the Commission Chair, Sergi Kapanadze, the parties discussed the Commission activity and two recommendations initiated. “These recommendations have been initiated a couple of days ago. We had time enough for consideration of the recommendations by the Commission members and NGOs”, - he stated.

The Commission is to issue sundry more recommendations. “After we meet with the juveniles and interrogate other witnesses, we will issue certain recommendations in other directions and certain conclusions. We will also provide the final opinion”, - the Vice Speaker noted.

According to the Chair of the Faction “Georgian Dream”, Mamuka Mdinaradze, NGOs have expressed interesting opinions and raised certain legal problems. “We heard interesting opinions by NGOs, including the position whether the decision on one of the recommendations was hasty as the parties of the incident are not yet interrogated as we have been recently declared. As to the second recommendation, it may be consented as it is not a principal issue and we may approve it. NGOs also raised the legal problems – if the Commission is entitled to issue the recommendation at this stage in line with the Rules of Procedure and about the prosecutions commenced towards a certain person instead of investigation, is this person proved to be an offender according to the evidences etc. We will further discuss these issues at 14h00”.
