The Member of Parliament, OSCE PA President, George Tsereteli serves the working visit to Baku.

The meeting with the President, Ilham Aliyev and the Assembly Parliamentary Delegation was dedicated to Azerbaijani participation in PA activity and security in South Caucasus.

As noted, democratic and economic reforming will manifest Azerbaijan as a reliable partner in OSCE area, which will ensure formation of security environment. The parties touched upon the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict resolution and OSCE role in this process.

G. Tsereteli touched upon the situation on occupied territories of Georgia and fatal consequences of Ukraine crisis, as well as human rights violations in the conflict regions.

The OSCE PA Delegation also met with the Chairman of Milli Meclis, Ogtay Asadov, the Foreign Minister, Elmar Mammadyarov and the representatives of the Azerbaijani Parliamentary Delegation to OSCE PA.

G. Tsereteli will participate in the Milli Meclis and Assembly Conference organized by the Silk Road Supportive Group on “Role of Members of Parliament in Enhancement of Economic Cooperation and Cultural Relations to Support Silk Road”.
