The Parliamentary Minority nominated Sergi Kapanadze as the Chair of the Interim Fact Finding Commission

The Parliamentary Minority nominated the Vice Speaker, Sergi Kapanadze to the position of the Chair of the Interim Fact Finding Commission on Kkorava Street Murder, as the “European Georgia” MP, Giorgi Bokeria stated at the briefing.

“We have consulted and discussed the candidate within the Minority and selected Sergi Kapanadze for this very responsible position – Chair of the Commission. I believe that S. Kapanadze will be highly responsible to implementation of this task”.

According to him, the opposition offers Shalva Shavgulidze to the Government as the Prosecutor General. The Faction requires appointment of the person with high public confidence and reputation.

According to S. Kapanadze, the Commission activity will be complicated, though he will apply all the leverage guaranteed under the law and available for the Commission to in the shortest term clarify the details of the murder as the society has the questions.
