Meeting of Members of Parliamentary Majority with OSCE/ODHIR Director in Vienna
As part of the OSCE PA winter session in Vienna, the Permanent Parliamentary Delegation of Georgia met with the Director of the OSCE / ODIHR, Ingibjörg Sólrún Gísladóttir to discuss the ongoing reforms in Georgia and the role and involvement of the legislative body therein.
The Director of ODIHR positively estimated the cooperation between Georgia and ODIHR and underlined the importance of developing these relations. The member of the Parliamentary Delegation, Irakli Kobakhidze dwelt on the importance of fulfillment of ODIHR recommendations by the Georgian Government.
The Chairman of the Delegation, Kakha Kutchava and the members of the same delegation, Irakli Beraia and Irakli Kobakhidze detailed the Government’s objective, which entails creation of a positive pre-election and election environment and cooperation with various political forces.
Post hoc the meeting, the delegates and the Director of ODIHE agreed upon active future cooperation.
