According to the Minority MP, Vice Speaker Sergi Kapanadze, the Otkhozoria-Tatunashvili Act elaborated by the Government includes none of the citizens of Russian Federation.

“Unfortunately, the List does not include any of the citizens of Russian Federation, namely – representatives of the Russian Federal Security Service, Russian Defense Ministry General Staff Intelligence Department and the occupation forces who directly undertake the effective control and are responsible not only for commitment of the crime but for concealing the offenders. No such people are included into the List. We, the European Georgia will further strive to ensure inclusion of the citizens of Russian Federation into this List and to ensure support of our partners to the Act. With our efforts, the EP Resolution will provide the call on to the EU states to enroll the people included in this Act into the list of their sanctions. We highly hope and call on the Government to extend the List, to enroll the certain persons – citizens of Russian Federation thereto. It is a very important Act serving the certain message for the people on the occupied territories who violate or may further violate the rights of Georgian citizens. They shall clearly understand that they will have to pay the political and the certain price for their deeds”.
