The Vice Speaker, Sergi Kapanadze participated in the House Democracy Partnership Forum and spoke about the political processes in Georgia and the response by the partners.

According to him, “informal governance and erosion of democratic institutions”, as well as the “violence in the pre-election period and bribing the electors” pose the major challenge. As the acutest challenge, he named “enhancement of pro-Russian and extremist forces in the country and restriction of the freedom of expression through attack to the independent media”.

He visits the USA in the Delegation accompanying the Speaker, Archil Talakvadze.
