The member of the Sports and Youth Issues Committee, Shota Khabareli met with the members of the Students’ Parliament to discuss the sports and related issues.

The students asked about the challenges Georgian sports encounters, especially under the pandemic.

The parties discussed the Tokyo Olympic Games 2021 and the participation of Georgian athletes in the European Championship “EuroBasket 2021”.

The students asked about the sports career of the MP. The parties touched upon the participation of the persons with disabilities in sports and underlined the importance of a healthy lifestyle, especially amongst the youth.

“The meeting was very interesting. We touched upon many interesting issues. Although the students mainly asked about sports, though we could not evade politics. They are well aware of the sports and the problems in the sphere”, - Sh. Khabareli noted.
