The speech by Nino Goguadze on media literacy at the sitting of the PACE Committee

The First Deputy Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee, Nino Goguadze participates in the PACE Committee sitting.

She delivered the report on media literacy covering European experience in terms of media programs and projects, including training of the journalists and implementation of media literacy project in schools.

The report will be delivered at the PACE plenary session as well.

“Media literacy in European countries is considered as one of the opportunities to protect the citizens from disinformation influence. CoE countries have already started on the national level implementation of the media literacy programs in schools. In the report to be soon submitted to the PACE, accumulates experience of European countries in this direction and it will be the first document in CoE reflecting this issue. Georgia starts implementation of media literacy and European experience will be important”, - she noted.
