Meeting of Beka Odisharia with Representatives of Students’ Parliament

The Chair of the Diaspora and Caucasus Issues Committee, Beka Odisharia and the members of the Committee met with the representatives, members of the parallel Committee of the Students’ Parliament.

B. Odisharia emphasized the importance of relations with diaspora organizations, current and future support projects implemented by the executive and legislative authorities of Georgia. He also expanded on the relations with the Caucasian people and its importance.

During the meeting, the parties talked about the domestic and foreign priorities of the country. The focus was on the pandemic-induced challenges and the importance of vaccination to overcome these encounters.

During the meeting, the challenges in the region and the current situation in general were reviewed.

The Chairman of the Committee talked to the students about the future plan of the country, according to which Georgia intends to apply for EU membership in 2024.

During the meeting, the Chairman of the Committee emphasized the importance of education and educated youth, in this context he talked to the students about the opportunities that are given to them both in various projects and through the visa-free regime with the EU.

Representatives of the Committee answered the relevant questions of the students.

"Today we had a very pleasant meeting with the representatives of the Students’ Parliament, who are very talented, constructive and have a critical mind. Among them, they are interested in all current directions. Virtually every topic was covered. The interaction was very active. The planned 45-minute meeting lasted an hour and 35 minutes, which shows that the interest was high”, - B. Odisharia commented after the meeting.
