The Chair of the Diaspora and Caucasus Issues Committee, Beka Odisharia met with the Ambassador of the Czech Republic, H.E. Petr Mikyska and the Deputy Head of the Mission, Jana Gasparikova to review the friendly relations between the two countries and future cooperation in various fields.

During the meeting, the Czech Ambassador reiterated his country's political support for Georgia.

In his turn, B. Odisharia briefed the Czech diplomats on the Committee's endeavors.

Dwelling on the economic ties between Georgia and the Czech Republic and their importance for both countries, the parties emphasized that an important meeting with the participation of representatives of Czech business at the Czech Embassy is scheduled for tomorrow as well.

"In addition, we talked about the opportunities that may be related to circular migration and the situation in which the two friendly countries are now with each other. The conversation also focused on Caucasus issues and we shared our views on the geopolitical challenges of the Caucasus. We agreed on close cooperation in the Committee and other various formats”, - B. Odisharia commented after the meeting.
