The Chair of the Sector Economy and Economic Policy Committee, David Songulashvili held the introductory meeting with the Ambassador of Lithuania, H.E. Andrius Kalindra to discuss the bilateral and multilateral formats of partnership relations between the parties and the effective application of the current potential of cooperation.

D. Songulashvili informed the Ambassador about the Committee activity and plans.

The parties underlined the importance of cooperation between the sectors and touched upon the trade-economic relations between the countries. They noted the negative impact of the pandemic on various sectors.

D. Songulashvili thanked the Ambassador for the support of Lithuania in countering the pandemic.

The Lithuanian diplomat affirmed the intact support of Lithuania to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia and pledged the maximal engagement in the timely provision of the vaccine and post-crisis economic restoration of Georgia.
