The meeting of Dimitri Khundadze with the Ambassador of Israel
The Chair of the Health Care and Social Issues Committee, Dimitri Khundadze held the meeting with the Ambassador of Israel, H.E. Ran Gidor to discuss the political processes in Georgia and Israel, and the negotiations between the Government and the opposition in Georgia mediated by the European partners.
“The Ambassador expressed his consent about the agreement achieved with the support of the European friends and hoped that all the opposition parties, after joining this agreement, will compose the Parliament in complete representation as elected by the people and Georgia will resume the stable political life. He reminded us that the stability is that Georgia principally needs as destabilization pours water on one country only, constantly triggering, directly or indirectly, the destabilization in the country to make Georgia dependent on our geographic neighbor – Russia”, - D. Khundadze stated.
The parties touched upon the global pandemic, and experience of Israel in countering this challenge. They underlined the importance of due fulfillment of the healthcare recommendations and vaccination process.
“Experience of Israel shows us that the pandemic can only be addressed by the adherence to the rules which have no alternative – facemasks, social distancing and vaccination. Our positions on these issues coincided and I noted that the will only is not enough as we lack the vaccines due to the unfair distribution in the world. Against this background, we shall intensify our efforts and acquire more vaccines, assure our citizens that it is the only solution instead of the groundless rallies and that the will of annulment of the restrictions is dangerous. So, it is important to adhere to the rules by us all – authorities, responsible parties and society and ensure active vaccination”, - he added.
