Dimitri Tskitishvili: engagement of HR specialists is paramount as their profession concerns protection of the interests of the employees and employers

The initiator of the bill on changes to the Labor Code, Dimitri Tskitishvili held the meeting with the HR experts to hear their position.

The parties at the round table discussed the bill. According to D. Tskitishvili, engagement of HR specialists is paramount as their profession concerns protection of the interests of the employees and employers.

“HR specialists shall be engaged in consideration as their profession is directly related to protection of interests of the employees and employers as the representatives of this profession try to improve the labor rights and labor conditions to gain higher profit of the company. And as a result of this progressive approach, our business achieves success”, - he noted.

HR Association also participated in consideration process.

The Association President Sergo Nozadze elucidates that engagement of HR specialists is particularly important as these people can offer experience for enforcement of the law.

“The HR Association has been officially engaged in consideration of the bill. We believe that equal participation of all the parties will result in the best outcome and improvement of the new initiative. HR professionals are the mediators between the employees and employers and their practical experience is important. I believe, equal participation will result in the best outcomes”, - S. Nozadze stated.

The meeting was attended by the Business Association members, Trade Unions representatives and civil sector.

The Parliament develops the bills on labor rights backed by ILO, envisaging development of the new legal and institutional mechanisms with participation of the international and donor organizations, including UNDP, GIZ, ILO and UNFPA.

The changes aim at improvement of the Labor Code.
