Dimitri Tskitishvili: protection of the rights of the employees and facilitation to business development is equally important for us

The informative meeting was held in Rustavi in view of introduction of the changes to the organic law on Labor Safety.

MP Dimitri Tskitishvili addressed the local business associations, companies, developers and trade unions, as well as the municipal bodies and NGOs and introduced the main directions and new regulations of the law.

At the meeting backed by NDI and financially supported by UK Aid, Rustavi Single Mandate MP Giorgi Begadze, Business Ombudsman of Georgia Irakli Lekvinadze and the Head of the Labor Inspection Department at the IDPs Ministry, Beka Peradze spoke about the law.

“In February, the Parliament adopted the new law on Labor Safety. The law establishes the new regulations ensuring the new standards of labor relations malfunctioning for years. It is noteworthy that formation of labor relations and labor safety does not end with adoption of the law and now, it is necessary to ensure implementation of the law. The law shall ensure protection of the rights of the employees and facilitate business development in the country. Correspondingly, we hold the intermittent meetings during enforcement of the law to ensure close communication between the employees, employers and the Parliament and eliminate the possible gaps”, - D. Tskitishvili noted.

The attendees expressed their opinion about the new approaches and regulations of the law.
