The Chair of the Culture Committee, Eliso Bolkvadze held the meeting with the Rector of Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgian State University, Giorgi Shautashvili to determine the working group on reform of the Theatres.

“The University is a very important hub of higher academic education in arts with the mission to develop the art and educate highly qualified specialists and professionals. It is the close union of the students, professors, art specialists, researchers, administrative and auxiliary personnel the harmonic cooperation of which creates a uniform area of creative development and scientific researches, as well as the basis for the sustainable development of the art sphere (including theatre, audio-visual, choreographic and music directions) countrywide and at the international theater. The University strives to become the international center for sharing experience, relations between the young creators and dialogue between cultures. It was named by UNESCO amongst the 12 best Universities of Theatre, it is – “World Theatre Education Alliance”, which is very important. At the meeting, we determined the working group on reforms of the theatres”, - E. Bolkvadze stated.
